Another idea, for a little more whimsy in your rainbow, use craft gold glitter paint
dabbed along the outlines of the rainbow for a magic sparkle. You could also use the spray can gold glitter...I used the silver on Natalies underwater walls, sprayed here and there for a soft shine effect. For Melissas fairy forest walls, I used the puff gold glitter paint as the vines. Looks great when the light is on, very sparkly and dreamy. Another way: wait for paint to dry, dip brush in clear drying craft glue, then dip in glitter and brush onto the wall |
Drive a nail into the baseboard, tie a string to the nail (length of string will
depend on the size of rainbow you want), tie a loop in the end of the string for
the chalk. Draw a half circle for the rainbow.
Shorten the string and draw another half circle, continue until you have
a whole rainbow. Use a sponge or rag to soften the edges of each
colour. Easy way to remember the colours: "Roy G. Biv" - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. |
